Care & cost notes

Which cash figures can I compare?

Read each figure as a medicine price. Ask separately about care fees and the terms for your prescription.

What does a starting price leave open?

In September 2026, government cash-price listings use starting prices; the medicine’s strength or an introductory limit can change the bill.

Strength means how much medicine a tablet or injection contains.

A medicine pen is a device used to give a shot.

What is an introductory pen example?

As of September 2026, the advertised starting price for semaglutide (Wegovy) injection pens is $199 per month. This offer covers the first two months supplied to new patients paying outside insurance.

In this offer, one month of medicine means a box of four pens.

Only certain strengths qualify, and those offer terms run through December 31, 2026.

For a month’s supply in September 2026, the regular cash price is $349 for Wegovy injection pens or $399 for the higher-strength version named Wegovy HD.

HD is the label used to distinguish that higher-strength product in this price list.

Ask the prescriber which version matches your prescription.

Does paying cash help meet an insurance limit?

As of September 2026, cash payments through the medicine maker’s offer are outside insurance. They do not count toward the amount you must pay before insurance starts sharing costs, or the plan’s yearly limit on your own payments.

That first amount is called a deductible. The yearly limit is called an out-of-pocket maximum. Ask the plan about your own bill.
