Care & cost notes

Would the visit be in a room or on a screen?

Start by asking what the assessment needs. Then compare the practical costs of each route.

What changes with the setting?

During a visit in person, you and the person providing care are in the same room. Telehealth is a visit from a distance.

Ask which parts can happen remotely and which would need a separate visit.

A room visit
Ask about travel, time away from work and where tests would happen.
A remote visit
Ask how questions are handled and who arranges any hands-on exam.

Does Florida accept remote care?

As of September 2026, Florida’s telehealth law applies the same professional care standard to remote and in-person visits.

Ask how the person providing your care will learn about your health and the concern you want help with.

What if an exam or test is needed?

National advice for medical boards says the doctor must carry out any needed tests, arrange them for you or send you to another service that can do them.

Ask where that work would happen, who would explain the result and which bill it would appear on.

How do I compare the price?

Use the same list for each route: visit, medicine, tests, delivery and follow-up. Add your own travel and time costs.

Ask for an ongoing quote as well as any starting offer.
